We work with directors, producers, investors, and creative partners to get bold projects made — not flattened, over-polished, or talked to death. Our films have reached theaters, major streamers, festivals, and audiences around the world. But the mission has stayed simple: protect the voice, make the movie, keep the work honest.

Speakeasy Pictures was built on a simple belief: the director is not a problem to manage. The director is the reason the movie exists.
We believe in stories with a point of view. Films that feel authored. Films that do not get sanded down until they could have been made by anyone. The best work has fingerprints on it — a voice, a pulse, a reason it needed to be made.
Founded in Chicago by Seth Savoy, Speakeasy Pictures develops, produces, finances, and advises on projects built around strong directors and original stories. We have put films on Paramount+, Apple TV+, Amazon, Roku, Universal, and Saban platforms, and screened at festivals around the world.
The mission is simple: protect the voice, make the movie, and help serious filmmakers move their work forward without losing what made it worth making in the first place.
Our Standard
Good is not enough.
We're interested in the rare projects — the ones that feel dangerous to ignore. Films with a clear engine, a real emotional center, and a director who knows exactly why this story needs to be theirs.
